I have served the Homer Congregational Church since July, 2005. I was born and raised in Connecticut and served a UCC church there before coming to Homer, and I’ve been pleased to discover that I am following in the footsteps of several HCC ministers who came “out west” from Connecticut. My undergraduate degree is from Penn State University, and my M. Div. degree is from Bangor Theological Seminary. I enjoy the natural beauty of this area and the warm hospitality of this community.
These are fascinating and challenging days to be in the church, indeed to be person's of faith. In general we have more choices, more information, more options for churches and faith pathways than ever before.

I joined HCC in August of 2009. As the Associate Pastor, I participate in the worship life of the church and assist with pastoral care, small group development, and adult education.
Church ministry is a second career for me. Prior to attending seminary, I worked in the fields of counseling and personal development. A desire to further explore how to integrate my spiritual life with my work life led me to United Theological Seminary in Minneapolis, MN where I discovered a love for worship, spiritual formation and pastoral care. Following seminary I served as a chaplain in a number of settings, including a large life-care retirement center, a regional medical center and Hospice.
I believe deeply in the healing and transformative power of the living Word and the church’s call to be a healing and transformative presence in the world. I am grateful for this opportunity to be a part of the leadership team here at Homer Congregational Church. Originally from upstate NY, I am glad to have the opportunity to live in central NY with its beautiful farmland, scenic hills and valleys and waterways. I find HCC to be a vital, warm and welcoming church and hope you will too.
